The Horizon Bicycle Club is open for membership if you're interested in bicycling as a fun form of exercise and challenge. We will have lots of events coming up over the next year, and it's a great way to make new friends.
Mission 360, June 21-27, 2008
Mission 360 is a 6 day, 360 mile ride down California’s scenic Pacific Coast Highway from Santa Cruz to Malibu.
In 2005, twenty-five riders raised over $19,000 for a community center in the town of Masatepe, Nicaragua. In 2006, 20 riders raised nearly $25,000 to benefit World Vision’s efforts to alleviate the AIDS crisis in Africa, specifically for the children of Lesotho in southern Africa. Whether you are an avid cyclist or haven't been on a bicycle in years, M360 is an experience you will never forget. A community with a purpose will form over the next several months as we train together and work toward the goal of a great ride, with a great purpose. This community of purpose will come together in July to ride, to support one another and to collectively provide hope to those ravaged by hopelessness and AIDS in Lesotho.
Your contribution as a participant will make a tremendous difference in the lives of thousands of these people. We invite you to join us!
